Myspace
is a Social Network website with over 180 million members and
growing daily. Where ever you find 180 million people who congregate in
one place, Who are all easily
contactable and willing to interact with you. My friends you now
have a major Marketing
opportunity. If you've never used Myspace.com before then I advise
you sign up and learn the ropes so you understand all the terminology
used on this site. Please also remember MySpace is only one of a
growing number of social network sites that are taking the
Internet by storm. The idea's and principles in this training area can
be applied to most of these social media sites.
But
what is this site REALLY
all about?
The
foundational purpose of this site is communication.
MySpace.com provides a means for you to create your own little corner
of the Internet and devote it to your interests. Then, you can invite
other people who hold similar interests to come on board and interact
with you.
- MySpace
also gives you more freedom
to search profiles than most of its competitors,
- They
have dozens
of different forums and groups
that are related to specific niches. This allows you to find the exact
people you need to invite as friends in order to sell your given
product or service.
- They
have superior
communication mechanisms -
large-scale bulletins and individual private messages allow you to
choose the right medium that you need in order to convey whatever your
message or pitch happens to be for a given product or service.
- They
do not restrict
the amount of images, information, or videos that you upload!
This means you can add as much content to your page as you wish.
You can do so without
paying significant hosting fees, which you normally would.
These
attractive benefits have no doubt invited the attention
of businesses of various
sizes to cash
in on this opportunity
where possible.
First
things first go to www.myspace.com
and create your account.

Making
Money on MySpace – Possible?
MySpace
is absolutely loaded with all sorts of mechanisms
for making money – all built into the system, but not for
that purpose. As a
marketer, you can think of MySpace as a massive
network of potential
affiliates and customers, all
interwoven in a somewhat disorderly way. In
order to make money, you must figure out how to overcome that disorder
with a
clean system.
The
best way in which you can do that is to begin finding
ways to break MySpace users into categories. Unless your product or
service
appeals to a general audience, you will want to zero in on the groups
you feel
will be your most responsive customers.
You
can do this in several different ways.
One
way is to use the search and browse
functions to find
people who have certain interests or use certain words in their profiles.
For instance, if you're looking for someone who might make a good
affiliate,
you may search for people who have a background in computer science or
in
advertising. If you already have a profile at this point, you can
simply add
them to your friends list. If you find any unusually good prospects,
remember
to record their names in some database, so you don't forget why you
added them.
Another
way in which you can do this is to look
for
people in forums and groups related to your topic.
Do whatever you can to
add useful information to threads; and then attempt to get as many
people to
join your list from those specific groups and forums.
Once
you have added these new friends, you may want to
contact them periodically to develop some type of personal
relationship. For
instance, you may want to send out bulletins that are related to your
shared
interest, but have nothing to do with your business.
Get
Friends
OK, you need friends. You can either manually add your friends one by
one
or you can use a 'robot' to add friends for you. You do need to be
careful
with these as adding too many friends per day could get you banned. I
suggest you go with adding 100 per day. You SHOULD be safe then. Tip.
you can open multiple myspace accounts and target your profile to
different groups, this is slightly black hat, its not something I do
but
many marketers do.

Yes, it does cost $47, but it is a great tool, and essential for MySpace
marketing. You will find throughout your Internet Marketing career,
MySpace will become a bigger and bigger part of it. This handy tool will
make life a lot easier. Of course, some of you won't want to splash out
just like that. Just because I'm telling you to! For you, I suggest you
manually add for a few a few days, until you make enough cash to buy
Badder Adder. You can always download the free trial and see how good
it is!

you are just taking a piece of html code and putting it in your
profile. Here is a list of sites to choose from, but a word of warning
do not go over board or you will distract from the main purpose of your
site, which is to attract friends to look at your business.

When filling in your profile think before you act, you do not just want
to put anything in your profile box's. You are trying to create a
profile that will attract friends with similar interests. Make
sure you fill in all the box's add your hobbies and interests, what
music you like always remember it is a social network site not a sales
page, if you try and sell here you will not have much success. People
will be attracted to you because you are you, so be you...
Do not use lot's of filler in your profile people will get bored, and
if possible try and use a little humor, you want to be seen as real
person that they can approach. Show photo's and video's of you and your
family, let people have a look inside your life as there are many
people who will have a similar lifestyle as you, also you will attract
people who want a lifestyle like you..
If you are single you will also attract people to because you are
single this is also an excellent way to build your friends list and
introduce them to your business.
The key to marketing on MySpace is pretty much the same as all other
marketing methods and I can some it up in one word. ACTION!
Action Steps.
1. Commit to inviting 50 friends every day this will take you around 30
mins.
2. Post Bulletins every day with a link to your lead capture page.
3. Join Groups and get active in the group.
4. Use the forum and get active.
5. Post to your blog and create content in your site.
There is so many ways to get active with myspace, just remember what
you are there for its attraction marketing and it is very powerful if
used correctly.
